I must say, I was rather surprised by all of the negative commentary about this kettle. I drink at least seven cups of tea a day, so a kettle is something that is very important to me, and something also that I do much research on.
To those whom have had problems with spillage, are you sure you are not overfilling your pot? I've just bought this today, and have not had a single issue. The orange colour is lovely and cheers me immensely when I go to answer its whistle. Speaking of which...
And... another perfect pour. The spout's mouth is a bit small, but easily worked with if you go slowly. Very worth the price, this.

I wish I had read the poor reviews before purchasing! - Dolly -
I agree with others that this pot is 'cute' and it matches my kitchen perfectly. However, I burned my hands the same way as another person described before. The spout is definitely designed poorly and causes the boiled water to spurt out rather than pour out. I burned my hand this way today. I am now looking for one where the spout extends far away from the pot.

I usually do not write reviews, but after being burned by this pretty looking kettle for so many times, I decide to warn on-lookers. I brought it from Khol's when it was on sale for . I thought because it was a great buy and it was good looking. Wha t is wrong with it is the cap does not seal tight. When water is boiling, stream comes out from both sprout and cap. After using it for 1 month, I can tell you the design of the kettle has so many flaws. With the design of the sprout, you have to hold the kettle in a 45 degree angle to pull water. when you pull water, steam comes straight up and burns your hands. When you try to add more water and have to reach to the cap/cover, unlike the classic design, you have to reach down to twist and turn it, due to the cap is make of medal, it is so easy you will burn your finger. This is the worst tea kettle I ever bought, worse than the one I bought from Walmart. I am so disappointed with my first experience Rachel Ray's production, I probably would NOT buy anything bear her name, horrible experience, it is driving me and my husband crazy...
