Reviews

I've had the Pino Digital Express kettle for about 4 months now and it has been outstanding! It does exactly what the manufacturer claims; heats water to within a few degrees of the digitally set temperature. When you enjoy a range of teas like I do and realize how important it is to brew different teas at different temperatures, it is the perfect tool.

I do wish I could heat just one cup of water at a time. The manufacturer seems to prefer something closer to having 3 or more cups in at a time, to prevent damage to the heating coil I believe. Given that I prefer to use either bottled or filtered water and don't want to leave water in the kettle overnight between brewings, that's a bit of a problem. But the benefits far outweigh that drawback and I don't regret in the least getting this model. I checked on this issue before I brought it and the people I spoke to at Pino were very straightforward about it.

So I very definitely recommend this product. Being able to set water temperature digitally, easily, and reliably is really nice! If anything ever happens to mine then I will definitely get another one.

Stopped Working After One Month - Eyad Sayabalian - Irvine, Ca
Unfortunately the kettle stopped working after one month of use. I would recommend purchasing a more reliable product. The kettle did work well for the one month of use and I thoroughly enjoyed using it. Now whenever I turn on the kettle it just keeps beeping without warming the water. Also be warned that if you boil water that hot steam does escape from the handle burning me on numerous occasions. So be careful if you decide to purchase this product be sure to wait 30 seconds after the timer beeps for boiling. I bought a Saeco electric kettle that has four variable temperature settings which is adequate enough for any tea drinker. Also it displays the temperature just like the Pino. What I enjoyed most about the Pino is its styling. The Saeco looks a little tacky with the different colors for temperature settings but works a lot faster and than the Pino for warming water. The Saeco only cost 30 dollars at Costco. Whats great about Costco is the efficiency of the return policy. Pino does offer a 90 limited warranty, but it does require that you ship the product whenever something goes wrong with it. Also craftsmanship is questionable if the product stopped working after 30 days. Also Pino doesn't state where there products are made i.e. China. So be careful about purchasing this product there is not that many reviews online about it.

Information for Potential Buyers - E. Goldman -
Not an owner, I was considering the Pino kettles - and deciding between the Digital Express and Digital Pro - and came across this helpful information on the Pino website. It is current as of the date of this review, but since these reviews persist for years I suggest referring to their website for current information.

The main differences are as follows:
Digital Pro:
1. It is our second generation of Digital Kettles and has several improvements such as;
2. Thicker stainless steel used for the body of the Digital kettle Pro.
3. New and improved temperature controller.
4. Digital components have been moved to the base rather than the bottom of the kettle where they are exposed to much more heat.
5. Base and kettle connector have been redesigned and it is easier to put the kettle back on the base.
6. The sprout is plastic free in pro but Digital Express has a filter made from plastic.
